The Great Coat of Arms sweatshirt
Pairs well with
While the tryzub is Ukraine's official coat of arms, it is technically referred to as the Small Coat of Arms.
This design, by illustrator Katya Akvarelna, is a modern vision of the unfulfilled dream of a Great Coat of Arms.
The 1996 Constitution of Ukraine states that the Great Coat of Arms must include three key historical symbols: the tryzub, the lion, and the cossack. In this artistic concept, the two figures stand as shield-bearers, guarding the central tryzub.

Story behind the illustration
The concept of a "Great Coat of Arms" is a constitutionally mandated symbol intended to embody the complete historical unity of Ukrainian lands. The idea was to create one large symbol that combined three major eras: the Trident (representing ancient Kyivan Rus'), the golden lion representing the Kingdom of Rus' (Galicia-Volhynia) and Western Ukraine and the Cossack with a musket (representing the Cossack Hetmanate). While the Trident serves as Ukraine's official coat of arms today (technically called the "Small Coat of Arms"), this larger version was never officially adopted because parliament could never agree on a final design.
