Thank you for pre-ordering "The Power Within," the first-ever print magazine from the Kyiv Independent. Your early support for this project means a great deal to our team.

We are writing to inform you about a delay in its production schedule. We initially planned to print and begin shipping in April, but we now anticipate we will ship the magazine by June.

It’s the first time the Kyiv Independent has embarked on producing a physical magazine, and, unfortunately, designing every page to be print-ready is taking longer than we thought.

Working in Ukraine, we’re used to expecting the unexpected. When we started brainstorming the idea of our print magazine, we knew we would be undertaking a brand new project under the challenging conditions of an ongoing war, with a potential impact on everything from the paper supply chain to electricity shortages. 

However, the last six weeks have also seen a marked change in the global media landscape. This period has seen our newsroom stretched to cover breaking news in an exceptionally fast-moving news cycle. 

Even with the challenges, we want you to know how much “The Power Within” means to us and how deeply we care about the stories it tells. We refuse to cut corners – that’s why we’ve decided to take more time so that every detail lives up to the vision we believe in — something that the Kyiv Independent’s team and supporters can be proud of. We are taking this time to get it right.

We’re truly sorry for this change in the schedule. But we want you to know that we are working hard to wrap up production while staying true to our journalistic values and quality standards.
